Making Physical Best/FITNESSGRAM Inclusive!
Do you teach physical education inclusion classes? Do you struggle with looking for ideas on how to include students with disabilities in your activities? Although it can be challenging, teaching fitness concepts in a physical education setting that includes a diverse student population is possible! This session will provide participants with ideas for teaching activities from each of the Physical Best training principles (Warm-up and Cool-down, Health Benefits, Frequency, Intensity, Time, etc.) inclusively. Participants will also gain ideas for how to modify selected items of the FITNESSGRAM to allow the participation of all students, including those with disabilities.
