Play Fair - Changing the Way We Teach to Play |
In sports, athletes often search for means to gain an advantage on their competition. This attitude can lead to unethical conduct and inhibit an athlete’s ability to play fair. To better understand these behaviors, this session will examine the "hows and whys" of intentional rule violation in women’s collegiate soccer, including why intentional rule violation strategy develops and how this influences ethical decision-making athletes make regarding fair play. Participants who attend this session will receive tools, materials, and strategies that will enable all soccer stakeholders to support the development of fair play. |
