AAHE/Professional Preparation
Networking Outside the Box and Beyond Borders
At any given time, about 5-10% of jobs are publicly posted, and one survey reported 60% of respondents got their last job by networking. Experts emphasize networking as the most important part of any job search; yet, it is seldom a component of academic professional preparation. Though targeted to students, both new job seekers and seasoned professionals will learn networking skills to give them a solid job search advantage. The session will include both domestic and international networking strategies. This active, dynamic workshop is designed to take participants on a fun, productive journey toward reaching their most passionate career goals.
