Techno Devices & Podcasting: Implementations in the Health and Fitness Classroom |
Participants in this session will be introduced to appropriate “techno devices” such as Podcasts in the health and fitness class. The use of these technological “gadgets” may provide students with the freedom to choose when, where, and how they listen to selected educational programming. "Gym time" is an ideal time for MP3 recordings of classroom messages. Watching a downloaded Podcast of strength training techniques or target heart rate calculation methods can be much more pertinent to the student while they are at a fitness center or on their exercise bike and much more reinforcing of a lesson taught. |
