Self Health Groups - Do They Really Work? |
There has been considerable discussion and research into the benefits and disadvantages of self help groups in solving problems and changing behaviors. Self help groups are known to be instrumental in helping individuals deal with addictive type behaviors. The presentation will help participants better understand self help groups; how they are structured, how they function and their role in the addiction recovery process. Reasons why self help groups may or may not work for recovering individuals will be examined. |
