Outdoor Education: Making it a priority in Physical Education
More than three out of every four Americans participate in active, outdoor recreation each year. Simple, healthy, outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and paddling can have a far reaching affect on motivating students to be active for life. Physical Education programs should play a critical role in educating young Americans to be engaged in active outdoor pursuits. Leave the session with ideas for how to energize your program by learning how seven nationally recognized outstanding award winning schools (NASPE STARS) developed and deliver numerous outdoor activities.
