A Model Statewide Collaborative Health Promotion Effort Involving Public Universities
This presentation describes a collaborative effort by ten public universities to impact statewide health promotion efforts. We will share how we structured a statewide initiative to expand outreach through the Get Healthy Kentucky Initiative. Ten university presidents and the Govenor’s Office were involved in moving this project forward. Campus and community members (business, media, government, etc.) designed plans for action to impact health promotion in their communities. A progress report of each community’s action and strategies for advocating health promotion will be shared with AAHPERD members.
