Observations at Youth Sport Events: What We Can Learn
This symposium will present data collected at youth sport events (various sports) from parent, coach and player actions and behaviors. Observations will be related to game activities, influences on player performances and impact of inappropriate behaviors. The discussion will include strategies for recreation leaders, and sport league administrators to positively influence the youth sport environment. Given the ongoing behavioral patterns witnessed at youth sports this is a timely session with valuable information for parents, coaches, educators, and recreation leaders. Attendees will acquire insights to proactively changing the climate of youth sports in their community.
