Online Interactive Instruction in Physical Activity and Health
The purpose of the session will be to demonstrate an online course in physical activity and health taught at the university level. The presentation will include a historical overview of the methods used to develop and modify the course to the present status. All facets of instruction including internet assignments, online quiz preparation, and interactive lessons that use a variety of asynchronous student activities will be presented. Attendees will develop knowledge of the demanding steps to develop a similar course and an understanding of the potential for instructing large numbers of students in an effective manner.
