Advocating for Your Physical Education Program
Great things may be happening in your physical education classroom – but does anyone outside of your gym know about it? If your physical education program is ever in jeopardy of being cut, will anyone know what future students will be missing? This session is for K-12 physical educators interested in strategies to improve their program’s public relations. Attendees will see and hear of numerous examples of teacher practices ranging from simple to extravagant that extend their curriculum and promote their program.
Speakers: Carol E. Plimpton, University of Toledo, Toledo, OH; Michael G. Lemerise, Beck Centennial, Utica, MI; and Amy Stringer, Elon University, Greensboro, NC
