Symposium: Research Design and Methodology Challenges in Dance
The study of dance encompasses several disciplines and various data collection methods and tools for quantitative and qualitative research. This symposium presents four research methods commonly used in dance research with children, adolescents, and adults. The first paper introduces a coding system designed to record and assess the skill acquisition process. The second presentation addresses two data collection methods used in qualitative research. The applicability of the Participatory Action Research model in dance research is the focus of the third paper, while the fourth presentation offers guidelines for planning, implementing, and analyzing research conducted with children.
