Top 10 Reasons for Quality Physical Education |
Why is physical education an important part of the curriculum? This session presents the top 10 reasons why quality physical education should be required of all students. In addition several bonus reasons for quality physical education will be presented. This program is designed for physical education teachers of all levels (K-12). Among the topics discussed will be the health, wellness and fitness benefits, academic benefits, economic benefits of physical education as well as benefits associated with learning motor skills and benefits to "total" child development. Evidence will provided to support the 10 reasons presented. |
