Update on Teen Sexual Health Issues
The purpose of this presentation is to present current research data on specific teen sexual health issues that can significantly impact the health and happiness of youth. These issues include sexual identity and protecting sexual health by preventing sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy and cancer, specifically testicular cancer. Many educators in schools may not be knowledgeable about or prepared to deal with these issues. Suggestions for ways to improve health education on teen sexual health issues as well as advocate for services to help teens deal with these topics will be suggested.
