Using It, Not Losing It - Can You Recall Your Body?
With baby boomers coming of age, how does our profession assist them to begin and adhere to instructor led exercise programs? This session will provide information to help participants understand factors that influence physical activity behaviors in older adults. Data collected using Physical Activity Scale for the Elderly, Mindfulness Scale, and Big Five Inventory will be shared that examined relationships and levels of physical activity of participants in a nationally recognized older adult exercise program, Body Recall. An older adult demonstration group will share their exercise stories and perform a musical sequence of movements, part of the Body Recall program.
