Worksite Wellness: How Colleges, Corporations & Communities Make Health Happen
We will address how to develop a grass-roots worksite health promotion program utilizing collegiate, corporate and community resources. How to build and maintain a healthy workplace culture and a supportive environment will also be addressed. Due to escalating health care costs, many worksites are forming symbiotic relationships with universities training health promotion professionals. This session will detail how one university program in particular developed a thriving corporate wellness program from scratch. This session will benefit health promotion professors wanting to develop hands-on experiences for their future professionals in the area of Corporate Wellness, as well as corporate wellness program directors.
