Mentoring Experiences from Pioneering Women: Guidance for Females in Sport |
Mentoring has long been recognized as essential in advancing careers of women and minority group members. This is true not only in the business world, but also in sport and physical education. Mentors can help a woman at all stages of her career, from entry level to senior management. Mentors offer guidance to help navigate the gender-related challenges found in the sport workplace. Mentoring is a method of helping women grow and develop. This session will introduce a panel of experienced mentors who will share their mentoring experiences which helped women achieve leadership positions within sport and physical education. |
