Interscholastic Sports: A Character-Building Privilege Not a Commercialized Right
This session will explore the problems associated with the rising commercialization of interscholastic sports and recommend specific strategies for addressing them. The emphasis in these resolutions will be to ensure that interscholastic sports programs build character in athletes. The goal of this session is that educators, coaches, and sport administrators will enhance their abilities to help adolescents learn that the privilege of competing in sports is reserved for those who display social and moral values.
