Finally...Some Attention! Women as Leaders in Sport
As women continue to make progress as leaders in the sport industry, it is important to recognize them. Information about women who have, and continue to be pioneers in the development of women’s sport leadership is often incomplete or difficult to find. Textbooks often fail to include women’s contributions in sport leadership, and published accounts often fail to recognize women’s impact and influence. In fact, women’s contributions in many segments of leadership in sport have been grossly under- researched. This presentation is intended to provide insight and information regarding women’s leadership roles in the various segments of sport.
