Bumps, Bruises, and Goose Eggs: Teaching Spatial Awareness to Children
Each day as children move and play they must find a way to function in the midst of other people, places and things. The purpose of this presentation is provide physical educators with an understanding of what is involved with teaching children how to move safely during physical activity. The participants will learn the whys and how's about teaching spatial awareness to children with specific lesson ideas and activities to teach safe movement in both personal and general space that align with national standards and benchmarks.
