HPV Vaccine - Medical Celebration or Controversy: Get the Facts
Genital HPV is the most common STI in the United States. There are approximately 20 million people currently infected, about 6.2 million new cases each year, and as many as half of those infected being ages 15-24. HPV infection can cause genital warts, cervical abnormalities, and cervical cancer in women. This session is targeted to all conference participants and will address the need to raise audience awareness and knowledge through the use of accurate and reliable information regarding the human papillomavirus (HPV), its link to cervical cancer, managing HPV-associated risk, and the HPV vaccine as deemed critical throughout the research.
