Walking for Fitness: A Class, a Philosophy, a Lifestyle |
Guests to this session will hear how one school in Southwestern Ohio incorporated a Walking only Physical Education course as an elective. This 18 week course is a prototype of future fitness models both at the state and national levels. Among the topics of discussion will be the daily use of pedometers and walking logs, pre and post test in individual fitness levels, blood cholesterol and glucose screenings, nutritional diagnoses, portion control, and the daily activities that are causing enrollment to soar in this Physical Eduation Course in Xenia. |
