Sleepless in America: How its Affecting Your Health |
Most adolescents and adults are not getting enough sleep; resulting in negative health outcomes. During this session, participants will learn about the structure of sleep, negative health consequences of not getting enough sleep, gender differences in sleep, the cognitive effects of sleep deprivation, and specific sleep disorders. Sleep resources will be provided including instructional teaching ideas to be used in the K-12 classroom. |
