Jazz in the Gymnasium: Syncopation in Sneakers
Come and experience "real" jazz from it's roots in the vernacular dance forms of the 1930's and 1940's. Steps like "the scarecrow" and "gaze the fog" will be developed into our own Big Apple. This session is designed for dance educators and physical educators who teach dance and is easily age and developmentally adaptable. "It don't mean a thing if ain't got that swing!" The presenter is the 2007 NDA College/University Dance Educator of the Year.
