From Apprehension to Competition: Skill Drill for Senior Swimmers
This participation session is designed to expand aquatic options for seniors (50 plus). It is appropriate for aquatic professionals, teachers, and coaches in universities and in recreational aquatic settings who are looking for options to teach and train seniors in swimming with an eye on competition in National Senior Games. Participants will learn teaching tips for this age group and experience water exercise activities and skill drills to improve comfort and encourage greater participation in this life-long skill. The presenter will also provide a list of valuable resources to help get a 50 plus group going.
