AAPAR/Council for Aquatic Professionals
Master Teacher of Adapted Aquatics
This is a 4 hour workshop to learn how to conduct the Adapted Aquatics Instructor. Prerequisites include: 1) Completing a Master Teacher of Adapted Aquatics Application (found through the AAPAR web page) including an essay and vita, and being accepted into the workshop; 2) Must possess current AAPAR Adapted Aquatics Instructor credential or the YMCA Swimming Instructor for Individuals with Disabilities certification; and 3) Current CPR/First aid certificates/AED. Final exam for the Master Teacher of Adapted Aquatics will be given upon completion of the workshop. 80% must be achieved to become a trainer for the Adapted Aquatic Instructor workshop.
