A Treasure Chest of Activities for Children with Special Needs
Part 1: The presenters will provide an action-packed presentation of activities they have taught over the years. It will include some basic routines and a variety of methods used to get all students moving. We will teach the participants routines using lummi sticks, therapy balls, stretch bands, juggling scarves, panty hose, and much more! Part 2: The focus of this session will be on ways to modify your PE program to include students with disabilities. This session will address modifying equipment, game rules, activity criteria and the playing field. Audience members will learn strategies that can be easily implemented into existing programs.
