Bullying and Harassment in Academia: Do We Eat Our Young? |
Are you being harassed? Have you been bullied? This session will present a background on bullying and harassment, related educational laws, the mental and physical symptoms of being harassed/bullied, and examples of harassment/bullying that have occurred on college campuses. A subsequent discussion will include strategies to deal with these bullying, what an administrator can do, advice on how to navigate the tenure process if you are being harassed, and a discussion of when it is time to leave your position. This should be a positive supportive environment for anyone who has ever been harassed/bullied. |
