Diets Don’t Work: An Integrative Medical Approach to Weight Management
“Diets Don’t Work: An Integrative Medical Approach to Weight Management,” explores our national preoccupation with slimness; examines unhealthy eating patterns; shows why fad diets don’t work; and offers practical and holistic advice on how to control weight safely, sensibly, and permanently. Integrative medicine combines both conventional and alternative approaches to address the problem of weight management. This seminar, intended for elementary through post-secondary educators, will translate the latest scientific information on good nutrition into specific guidelines that participants can use to nourish oneself, and enjoy the pleasure of eating well.
