A Social Dance Unit for Middle and High Schools |
Learn how to teach exciting new middle/high school dance-unit syllabi - for all PE teachers and dance educators. We’ve chosen styles to appeal to today’s youth, from Swing to Merengue to Salsa, to create a complete unit. All lessons comprise of warm up exercises, an easy dance routine, activities, extensions and teaching notes. The syllabi include clearly defined objectives, assessments and rubrics compliant with National Frameworks. Teresa Osborn will discuss best practices developed in Massachusetts under MAHPERD; 2006 Dance Educator of the Year LeAnn Haggard will discuss education in the Indianapolis, IN school system. |
