Ballroom Bash--So You Can Dance!
Help your students transfer their social skills to the dance floor! Learn how to execute the basic rhythmic patterns for a variety of ballroom dances, such as 4-count swing, waltz, foxtrot, and polka. You will be challenged to combine the basics with at least two variations, practice with a partner to music, then participate in a simulated dance by politely asking and thanking a new partner to dance. This application requires demonstration of proper etiquette, good posture, and accurate timing for executing both even and uneven rhythmic patterns to music with different partners.
