Parents and Grandparents Need PE Too: Giving Teachers the Nuts and Bolts to Program for (Older) Adults |
Co-sponsor: Fitness & Wellness Council
P.E. teachers are perfectly positioned to program for adults: they are trained in exercise leadership, enjoy activity, have access to facilities, enjoy teaching excited learners, and often need fundraising ideas or community connections. This presentation will give program ideas and resources to facilitate programming for adults whether it is for school parents or grandparents or for community members. Ideas for ongoing fitness programs as well as one day workshops or fairs will be presented. Retirees, current and former PE teachers welcome. |
