Presenters will discuss the experiential education experiences in the Sport Management curriculum at Wingate University. An overview of the design and operation of the Wingate University Homecoming 5K as a function of the Intro to Sport Management class will be discussed in detail. Additionally, student presenters will demonstrate how that experience led to an un-guided practice or application, i.e., The 2006 Wingate University Triathlon. Presenters will also chronicle how classroom experiential education experiences have impacted their ability to apply theory to practice. |
