| Description | This workshop will provide health educators with the knowledge and skills for effective standards based teaching and performance-based assessment. The participants will receive a manual on standards-based health education and performance assessment entitled “Health Literacy: Teaching HIV Prevention through Standards-based Health Education & Performance Assessment,” and a CD-ROM which contains PowerPoint presentations, handouts, and overheads. The focus is on the preparation of teachers – and how to train them to conduct standards-based education and performance assessment of student learning. |
