| Description | This workshop will focus on the core elements of writing successful grant applications. Topics include: (1) writing goals and measurable objectives; (2) identifying appropriate immediate, intermediate, and long-term outcomes; (3) demonstrating need; (4) demonstrating agency capacity, (5) designing the project, (6) determining appropriate intervention strategies, (7) selecting valid and reliable instruments, and (8) evaluating project effectiveness. Additional topics include (1) identifying funding sources, (2) deciphering granting writing language, (3) establishing workable timelines, (4) developing a budget, (5) reporting results, (6) acquiring letters of commitment, and (7) using a team approach in the granting process.
