Professionalism in Health Education and Promotion: Strategies for the Marketable Health Professional

DescriptionWhat professional strategies do prospective health education graduates need to effectively compete in the workforce? The panel session will present five areas deemed as “marketable strategies” for the prospective professional. Session issues will be presented by experts in: professionalism and networking competencies, scholarship and ethics, technology competencies, grant-writing, and cultural competencies. The panel will address the following: tools and strategies needed in the health education workforce; the importance of the five identified competencies as means for tool development and marketable strategies for the health education candidate; and how each of the five areas of competencies address many of the NCHEC standards.
