Pipsa Nieminen and Roope Nieminen, Jyväskylä University, Jyväskylä, Finland

This workshop is designed to offer PE and dance teachers an opportunity to learn an easy and enjoyable dance, “Bugg,” which is a popular couple dance in Sweden and Finland. While learning new figures, to the popular music, the participants will focus on the most important factors in couple dancing, leading and following a partner. Based on criteria given by a teacher and based on their own experiences, participants are guided to give and to receive feedback to and from their partners. Through this process dancing skills will be improved and dancers will become conscious of their skills. Audience participation.
