| Brigham Young University’s dance companies are among the best in the world, winning awards from national and international competitions and sharing their vibrant, enthralling performances with hundreds of thousands of audience members, whether in live concerts or on some of their many television interviews.
The Ballroom Dance Company, Cougarettes, Dancers’ Company, International Folk Dance Ensemble, and Theatre Ballet have been seen in many different states and countries, performing with and for the most prestigious audiences across the globe. They are also committed to helping charitable organizations everywhere they go and leave a trail of awe and gratitude in their wake.
The Ballroom Dance Company has 18 awards from the British Dance Championships alone, and the Cougarettes are the 2005 National College Dance Team Champions. The International Folk Dance Ensemble, Theatre Ballet, and Dancers’ Company groups are no less well-known and perform in workshops and concerts worldwide.
From a visit by the vice president of Taiwan to a Dancers’ Company concert in Asia to a special Ballroom Dance Company performance for members of the Australian Parliament during a budget meeting in Canberra, these and all of the BYU dance groups have shared their talent with the leaders and nations of the world and continually excel in the world of dance.
