| Research Findings and Commentary on Stereotypic Imaging of African American Athletes in Sports: Issues and Implications |
| In this session, we highlight research (Burden et al., 2004; Harrison et al., 2004) and comment on the stereotypic imaging of African Americans in sports. We also discuss issues that influence youth to participate in selected sport activities; and the resultant implications for teachers, coaches, and other sport professionals. |
