Maximizing Your Job Interviewing Skills: Special Focus on Presenting Your Research Agenda and Accomplishments |
In this session, presenters will provide good advice from their perspectives as department chairs, deans or associate deans, and faculty members to people in early career stages of the professoriate. The focus topic will be how to present your research interests and accomplishments in the best light for different kinds of institutions in which you may be interested (research v. teaching, large v. small, sciences or professions-oriented v. liberal arts, etc.). Key suggestions will be offered to make you and the search committee interviewing you comfortable with your knowledge and skills in research. Presenters will offer a clear picture of what deans, department chairs, and faculty colleagues look for in successful candidates trying to join their university/college faculty. |
