Choosing the Right Doctoral Program for You: How to Select a Research-Oriented Institution, Program, and Faculty |
This session will provide guidelines for selecting and applying to graduate programs in physical education, physical activity, and sport related fields of study. Determining which doctoral program is most appropriate requires examination of personal goals and understanding how to examine the value of the various doctoral programs. Key issues that will guide the discussion include areas of specialization, mentoring, and the economics of graduate student living. The practical aspects of the application process will also be given consideration such as personal statements, curriculum vitae, and networking. |
