Writing Successful Research Abstracts for Presentation and Programs |
This session will identify the critical characteristics for the five parts of a successful abstract. Those are: (1) setting up the problem, (2) stating the problem, (3) method, (4) results, and (5) discussion of why the results are important. Speakers will present and provide experience correcting common errors in abstract writing. Finally, we will share what reviewers are looking for in a successful abstract and what they see that sends some abstracts into the reject pile. By the end of the session you will know how to use your 400 words wisely. |
