Taking Care of Business - Risk Management Issues for AD's, Coaches, and Teachers
Athletic administrators, coaches, and physical education teachers are faced with many problems including some that they may not be equipped to handle. This session will deal with such situations: how to deal with the murder of an athlete, reasons coaches are fired, emergency medical planning, and crisis management. Presenters will address these and other legal risks for institutions and professionals. Risk management and mitigation strategies will be applied as well as suggestions and action steps for policy development.
