Addressing "Diabesity" in American Children and Adolescents |
Using coordinated tactics, health and physical educators can deliver a “one-two” punch against this major health crisis. This session will target individualized activity-oriented lessons that apply healthy concepts to students’ daily lives. Ideas will incorporate physical activity, nutrition, stress management, and emotional health to develop, track, and evaluate personal wellness plans. Cross-curricular activities to fight “diabesity” will also be presented. |
