Lucinda W. Adams is the 2006 Rachel Bryant Lecturer. She will present, "The Values Gained from Participation in Sports: to Achievement, Success and Life." Adams has been involved with female sports at the state, regional, national and international levels 45+ years. She was a member of the Tennessee State University Women’s Track and Field team (1955-1960) and a member of the 1958 US Olympic team, winning Gold in the 200 meters and 400 meter Relay. Her professional services include several presidencies (AAHPERD, NASPE, Midwest District). Adam’s dedication has earned her elections to the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame and Georgia Hall of Fame. |
