2005 K-12 NDA Dance Educator of the Year Presentation: Creative Process and Movement Invention and Intentionality or Making a Dance that People Understand |
This session explores various models for making dance movement. The creative process entails developing written maps based on Laban Movement Analysis vocabulary as well as the concepts espoused by Anne Green Gilbert's "Creative Dance for All Ages." These maps will be transformed into movement through the personal lenses of the participants, taking on a life of their own when infused with the idea of "movement intentionality." |
