NASPE/Exercise Physiology Academy endorsed by American Association for Health Education, Professional Preparation
The Optimization of Health and Fitness Professionals through the Accreditation of Academic Programs: The Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences
The Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences (CoAES) is a member of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). The CoAES creates and maintains standards and guidelines for educational programs in personal training, exercise science and exercise physiology for third-party accreditation by CAAHEP. This session is for university administrators and faculty interested in standardizing curriculums that optimize the ability of students to enter into professions of the health and fitness industry. A review of CoAES progress will be presented for those institutions that have already received accreditation or are in the process of obtaining accreditation.
