Individualizing Physical Education: Using the Personalized System of Instruction to Enhance Learning
Providing individualized instruction to our students in physical education has always been a priority in the education of our youth. Personalized System of Instruction (PSI) is an instructional model that allows students the opportunity to practice skills at their own pace and at their own skill level. Through specific learning tasks, students begin each physical education class at the point at which they left the last class. This session introduces the participants to the theory behind PSI and offers the opportunity to participate in the PSI experience. Presentation methods include PowerPoint, individual activity, and group discussion.
