Disc Golf: A Clinic for the Novice
Disc Golf is similar to traditional “ball” golf, except that specially made plastic discs are thrown at above-ground targets (steel baskets with chains). This rapidly growing sport has attracted over a half million participants, with courses in numerous public parks around the country. It can be played by children and people in their 80s. This clinic will introduce the sport to the novice. Proper equipment will be demonstrated, rules explained, skills taught, and course layout described. Participants completing this clinic will be able to introduce the sport in their school or community recreation programs.
