Faces Around Us: A Multicultural After School Program for At-Risk Immigrant and Refugee Youth
An after school program that uses physical activity to teach responsibility to at-risk diverse immigrant and refugee youth in Greensboro, North Carolina. The participants of this session will be informed about: (1) the purpose and history of the program; (2) the components, challenges, and successes of the program; (3) the perceptions of the youth and parents on the program; and (4) insights of culturally appropriate interventions.
