Physical Education Grade Expectations: Developed By and for Physical Educators As a Guide to Curriculum and Assessment
The Vermont Physical Education Grade Expectations were designed by Vermont K-12 and Higher Education physical educators (in conjunction with the Department of Education of the State of Vermont) to assist in the process of alignment of local curriculum and local comprehensive assessment systems to the Vermont Framework of Standards and Learning Opportunities. This presentation will share the yearlong process of developing these K-12 Grade Expectations, including the statewide input opportunities for other physical educators. We will also demonstrate how to use the Grade Expectations to align K-12 physical education curriculum and assessment to state and national standards.
